Lost a few inches, kilt falls off
My cheapie acrylic kilt, even with the straps cinched up as tight as they'll go, still falls off with about 1.5 inches of spare room. Great from a weight-loss standpoint. Bad because now I have a kilt I can't wear. :/
Being that it wasn't custom made, that should be a plus in selling it, maybe? Not sure what to do - I really want to get some money back so I can put it towards a real wool kilt. Any advice on where/how to sell it? eBay? Here? Thanks!

Hard to compare because you can't sell the same kilt twice on two different sites to see how it goes, but here on XMarks, every member loves kilts, whereas on E-Bay, it's harder to find a kilt among all the other "stuff".

Another alternative would be to move the buckles. That is the usual way of making a kilt fit a smaller waist, and is often used by military units and pipes bands to get their members into kilts.

I say give it a try selling it here. Of it does not work, there are Facebook groups to post kilts and accessories for sale where I sold a sporran in two days for asking price. If you're handy enough, you could also try moving the buckles yourself. Paying to have it done might not be worth it on a budget kilt. There's always EBay. I was able to sell two kilts there after they didn't sell here, but one of them took months to sell.

Give it a try on the Sale forum here for the standard duration, and then maybe your Facebook marketplace. I've just become aware of that feature through a friend who has been down-sizing with it quite effectively.
