Things have changed in London over the last few years-for once heads would have turned at the sight of a kilt-now it is just ignored.

Well, apart from the occasional compliment.

So certainly in London and the home counties, no one should have any concern about wearing their kilt out and about.

    How perfectly fantastic piccies!!

You were in two places I took my wife last trip over with her, Trafalgar is always a nice place to go.

You all look great, how great for Xmarks members to get together like that.

I'm guessing that a kilt in London wouldn't turn too many heads, you see everything there!

I forgot to mention, the pictures were taken with Ham's camera. Ham sent me the copies, I only compressed and uploaded them. Derek

......because you are SO clever and quick at doing these things, Derek!

I thoroughly endorse what Derek says about it having been a good day out. So good, in fact, that we are already planning another for next month.

    Take care,
    Ham.
(PS: I have to say that having seen Derek's Welsh 'Morgan Tartan', I am very impressed. The colouring is superb, and it has prompted me into looking at Welsh tartans for a future kilt for myself ............ only, I have no Welsh blood, so I'm not "entitled" to wear any of them, am I? )

    Welsh...

only, I have no Welsh blood, so I'm not "entitled" to wear any of them, am I?
Nonsense, Hamish -- simply do what the Royal Welch (corret spelling, btw!)Fusiliers do on St. David's Day (1 March) -- English officers serving with the regiment on that day were required to eat a leek (the national plant of Wales) whilst standing with one foot on the table, and the regimental mascot, a goat, served as a witness -- then you are a "Welshman"!

Scottish Regiments would make English officers drink a glass of whisky with a thistle at the bottom to make Scotsmen out of them! Ouch!

    Cheers,

    T.
