Hello From Chesapeake, Virginia
Hello everyone,
My wife and I spend considerable time in Scotland, where we get our Border Collies, and musicians from. We breed Collies, and my wife is a musician and brings Scottish musicians over to do Celtic programs here in the States. Recently, we have been bringing Scottish fiddler Paul Anderson and his wife Shona over from Tarland, Aberdeenshire, to do a Christmas show. You can see some of it here:
https://youtu.be/7uoM9-JpW_g
I show our collies and recently got this kilt and jacket from USA Kilts. It seems to have gotten good reviews at the last show I was at in Salisbury MD. I have not seen another exhibitor in a kilt, but since I am Scottish, as well as my dog, it seemed a natural thing to do. Kilts are becoming more common at the big UK show called Crufts. Here is a picture of me and my boy Nemo.

If you want to see a "properly rocked" kilt, check this guy out. He is Paul Anderson (same fellow as in the video above), and it would appear he does not adhere to the common "fashion guidelines", as he has a dress sporran, belt, and waistcoat on, all at once :-). Of course, being 6'2" doesn't hurt, either.

Cheers for now,
BC Dave
P.S. I was given that name by my dog club, as I'm the only BC breeder in it.

Well met and welcome BC Dave. A good intro you provided there. Glad to have you aboard.
PS. Your friend Dave has the right gear for performing (even if it seems a bit much for everyday wear).

Glad you enjoyed it, John. You may also like his wife's singing (same show). I particularly like The Burning of Auchindoun. Paul and Shona play one fiddle tune together, then she sings.

Welcome from Northern Va...you will love the Richmond Celtic Festival in October and the Virginia Scottish Games in August. There is a Scottish Christmas Walk in Alexandria, VA December 1. Hundreds of Scots show up for that. Virginia is very active with Scottish events. Hope to see you at one of them...CHEERS...Collin.
