Belt Buckle Bulk Issue
Happy Tuesday, guys and gals.
So I have a question that I have been burning to ask since seeing a picture of myself taken by my wife during my our last outing to which I wore my kilt.
So as you may or may not be able to see from the photograph, I am quite high-waisted and long in the torso, so my belt is worn quite high up on my body. In said photograph, if you look at my belly you may notice an unsightly bulge.
No, I did not swallow my cell phone or ingest an entire pack of cigarettes, that beautiful square protrusion is my kilt belt buckle. I wear a "normal" 2" leather belt with a metal buckle. When I pulled my sweater down, I didn't realize until I had my photo taken that it looked like I say on the remote and it went up the "wrong end".
Any guidance from others that have a similar body structure and wear sweaters or jackets for reducing or hiding the belt buckle?

"Kilt belts" are traditionally to hang your dirk. Leave it at home and you'll be fine. It's not part of informal kiltwear.

Now THAT makes me feel like a novice. See, that wouldn't have even crossed my mind. I guess I took for granted that my kilt was made from my actual measurements and is in very little danger of becoming a tripping hazard, if you get my meaning.
I guess that I just always thought the belt was essential.
Such simple advice, this is definitely a case of me overcomplicating my own solutions ahead of time
