Hello my name is Elsa
Hello Every one,
My name is Elsa and I am an American with Norse and Scottish heritage. And yes my blood dose boil easily at times. I live on an island in N.W. Washington State.
I have recently joined XmarkstheScot to get help with a long time passion. For the longest time I have wanted a ladies knee length kilt and cape in Ancient Clan Hutcheson or Hutchinson as my mothers family now spells it. The problem for me is that I can not find any kilt makers that have the Clan Hutcheson Tartan. And even when I find it in a sellers site it in unavailable. If any one out there can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

The Scottish Register of Tartan lists the Hutcheson Tartan design as no. 4847 with this description.
"After 46 years in the Scottish Textile industry and there being no Hutcheson tartan, Colin Hutcheson decided to produce this design to mark his and four generations of his family's involvement in spinning, weaving, knitting and clothing manufacture in Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders. The design is based on Douglas which is traditionally the closest clan to Hawick where he started his career in 1956. The colours were assembled from some of the most successful shades in the Johnstons of Elgin colour palette. Cloth can be obtained from Johnstons of Elgin. Any related names are welcome to wear the tartan. - Hutcheon, Hutchison, Hutchieson, Hutchenson, Hutchinson, Hughson, MacCutcheon, MacCutchin, MacCutchan, MacCuthan, MacCutheon, MacCuthon.
The Scottish Tartans Authority lists the designer as Colin Hutcheson with a design date of 2000.

I live off shore in the islands. Burlington is just a day trip away. That is if you can get a ferry back. Only 2 boats running right now.
