Lochcarron weathered MacLeod great kilt
Trying it on for the first time. 5 meters Lochcarron 16oz wool. Also wearing a custom bonnet made by GSMACLEOD from this board. I love it.

HoE Hebridean MacLeod
And here's a 4 meter great kilt - House of Edgar "Hebridean MacLeod" 13oz wool.
Going to festivals, it's a good idea to have two kilts. In case it rains. Like any good Scottish weather.

Two new great kilts
Both these kits look terrific on you. You have pulled that look together very well sir. Kudos to Shane as well for the cap. It looks as though you are ready for the festival season in brilliant style! Love that dirk as well... Cleidh Daingeanh MhicLeoid!

Looks great. I just got 5 yards of Murray of Atholl weathered from Lochcarron for a great kilt. Planning to wear in the coming month (Ren Faire) and hope it comes out looking as well as yours.

I appreciate the kind words. Now let's see if the lasses feel the same!
I'm still hopeful Anne the Pleater will send a hand-woven navy blue bonnet before July. I have my heart set on it. It'll be perfect with the HoE MacLeod Hebridean kilt.
I have my Isle of Skye 12-year-old scotch whiskey ready to go. I have my sword, baldric, dirk, sgian dubh, boots, hose, shirts, and clan crests ready to go. I'm only missing the bonnet.
Woe to the lassies if I have that bonnet! I'll dance them out of the ceilidh!

Ahhh Lochcarron
Clansman,
You’re such a show off - and we’re glad you are! I’ll never look at my little tropical kilt quite the same way again. I believe you have set a standard some will only be able to aspire to. Here’s to the glory of the kilt in all its permutations.
At least we have similar Basket Hilts. My bespoke Fraser kilt is the full 9 yards of 16 oz. Hand sewed in Inverness. Great with all forms of attire, still I look at the picture you make and the great kilt is an emptiness part of me longs to fill.
Question: are there sewn in pleats of is it all folded in? If it involves lying down I can no longer reliably do so with ease or grace . . . Or expectation of rising in an orderly fashion.
