What is this thing on my new sporran?
I just received my new Margaret Morrison hunting sporran from Scottish Trading Company, and I have a question. What is this detachable thing inside the sporran? I assume it's a keyring, but wanted to make sure. The MM website doesn't say.

I think you'll find that it is attached by a dome/snap fastener so that you can attach your keys and not have them fall to the bottom of the sporran and be difficult to find. I DO have an alternative; if you don't like that one I'll take some pictures and show you but this is a good one.

That is what I figured. If you have an alternative I would like to know what it is.

I got these at the locksmith's. They're smooth enough to do no damage if you're careful, and easy to remove and re-place the keys. If they fall off, they're already in the sporran, and it consumes little space.
As you see, I just slide them onto the gusset where they're practically invisible in normal use.

When I designed my Carry-All sporran years ago, along with all the different pockets and storage options, I made it a point to include a key ring that snapped to the inside.
The idea was, that even fully loaded, the sporran looked normal from the outside.

Every time I see these pictures I'm heartbroken that this never became available.
