    Clan Donald Canada AGM

I had a wonderful time last weekend at the Clan Donald Canada Annual General Meeting in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It was the first event outing for my new velvet Prince Charlie coatee with tartan facings, and my goat hair sporran by Margaret Morrison.

Thanks very much! The black velvet PC was made by Philip King Tailoring in Scotland and it was an eBay purchase from a friend in the kilt community.

I had a friend of mine whom sews wardrobe for theatre and tv fit the jacket to me and replace the satin facings with some tartan that I had purchased and there was enough to make the tartan waistcoat front also.

The hose were made by D&D but I think they are no longer in business. I ordered them through John at Keltoi years ago.

I have another contact who can make lovely tartan hose now that D&D are retired, and am happy with her work on another pair I had made.

It's great to see the entire outfit all together at an actual event. You all look absolutely wonderful and it must have been nice to see John again.
