FS: USAKilts 6-yard tweed kilt Size 47 MM 16oz Hunting Stewart $250

Hi, I bought this kilt during the lockdown and I've worn it a dozen times or so.

It's the USA Kilts "5 yard tweed kilt" but I paid an extra $60 to have an extra yard put in due to the large waist and hip size, thus it's a 6 yard kilt.

There was also a $60 surcharge for the fabric, gorgeous soft 16oz Marton Mills tweed, in Hunting Stewart Weathered tartan. The total for the kilt was $470, so I'm selling it at around half price.

I have the original Packing Slip which says

    Waist 47
    Hips 47
    Length 25.5

Here's the back. There are twice as many pleats as it appears, due to the pleats alternating, which is often done with Hunting Stewart, it being a non-repeating/asymmetrical tartan. Each pleat has a brown stripe centred, but the pleats alternate grey and black, as you see.

Here are me wearing it with three outfits.

    Thanks! Richard

PS As to why I'm selling it, it's because I recently received a fully handsewn kilt in the same fabric.

    ARGH.....

A few months ago I would have snatched this up, Richard. Such a beautiful kilt and the pleating on yours is nicer than the one they did for me. I appreciate the subtlety vertical brown stripe. Mine alternates red and yellow stripes on each pleat - I like yours much better. No doubt, this will sell quickly.

Not my size but it looks so beautiful pleated like that instead of the military yellow and red pleating <3

Is the kilt still for sale?

    Greetings OC Richards,

    Beautiful kilt!

I originally wanted a Hunting Stewart Weathered kilt, but the clerk at USA Kilts convinced me to go with Modern Hunting Stewart instead.

Seeing how gorgeous this kilt is, how versatile too (the clerk convinced me I would have difficulty matching it to jackets/vests/sweaters) makes me really want to get a second one in the weathered color scheme.

Is the kilt still for sale?

If so, do you think it could be easily adjusted (buckles adjusted) to my measurements? Not sure too how difficult/expensive it would be to have it shortened by 1.5 inches.
    Waist 44
    Hips 44
    Length 24

Agh, so close, but seemingly not close enough. As I write this, I begin thinking it may be better to ask if you could share your ordering instructions so I could place a similar order.

    Welcome your thoughts.
    Thanks,
    JP
