    Imperial Highland Supplies

    Hello,

Has anyone on her used them?

My other half is looking at getting a Tartan Wedding Dress from them and I’m aware they are based in Pakistan.

Their prices appear to be around £200 cheaper than UK sites but they have used images from other sites.

Tartan wedding dress made in Pakistan

I can only say that my experience with goods made in Pakistan has not been favorable. I bought a made-in-Pakistan sporran once. It was poorly made and barely resembled the picture used on- line. $200 can be a lot of money, I know, but a wedding dress, and indeed a wedding, is far too important to risk on any supplier that you are not 100% sure will deliver a quality product on time. Just my two cents worth.
Best wishes to you and your bride on a very special day in your lives.
    Cheers,

    David

Clearly the material won't be woven in Scotland, or even Britain. Like most things in life, one gets what one pays for. Looking at this another way, would you by a traditional wedding dress off the peg from Pakistan.

To be honest she doesn’t mind that it’s not made in Scotland, the thread is about if anyone has used them at all and their experience.

What Scottish makers would you use to get something like this?

There is a member of the Clan Maxwell Society, who had a very similar dress made in Maxwell muted hunting tartan. I have contacted her, asking for information about the maker. I’ll let you know what she says.
