    Dirk: typical erroneous Ebay description

This dirk was made by Art Pewter Silver Glasgow (est 1968) who made items in EPNS finish (electro-plated Nickel Silver).

However, it's listed as being made in Edinburgh and being silver plated.

Nickel silver, also known as German silver, also known as cupro-nickel, is an alloy of nickel, copper, and zinc with no silver content.

eBay has, for a little while now, been pushing sellers to use its AI tool to write titles and descriptions, and I wonder if this is the predictable result of that effort.

    It certainly could be.

I'm usually looking at bagpipes on Ebay and the AI descriptions always have incorrect information in them.

The AI descriptions are so strange! They don't read like a human describing a thing they have for sale, rather they sound like a politician's press release: loads of words but not saying anything concrete.
