it does say "Clan Balmoral" so maybe that is a traditional pattern from the Acrylic Clans of the highlands of Pakistan where sheep fear to tread?

Which raises this question: does "Balmoral" occur as a surname?

If so, somebody could cook up a "Clan Balmoral Society" and adopt a Balmoral tartan as their Clan tartan.

I have never encountered it and there appears to be no record of it in Scotland. This is hardly surprising as the proper name does not appear until the first half of the 19th century as far as I know.

And there is of course, no such thing as a Clan Balmoral.
