Possible Future Kiltwearer from Calgary
I'm from Calgary (redundant)
Started looking into kilts once my wife and I finalized our destinations for our upcoming Europe trip. I informed her I was going to procure a "real" kilt while we were in Scotland.
Last week in Costco we saw someone sporting a Utilikilt and that's what got me looking for more information on kilts, searching for a Utilikilt review is what actually got me here.
My background is half German and half muddled Irish (1/4 Celtic for sure). Great Grandfather/Grandmother were born and raised around Dublin. Not sure the how and the when of it but the family was originally from Scotland, Clan Colquhoun (Cahoon now) to be exact. The family always identified itself as Irish, which my mother was very proud of.
My biggest problem acquiring a non custom kilt will be length. I'm 6'7", mostly legs. I don't wear my pants at my true waist, and I probably won't wear a kilt at my true waist either (makes me look like a midget on stilts).

'Ow do?
Welcome from the Northern English county of Lancashire. I lived near Medicine Hat for a while too. Suffield to be precise. I was married unaccompanied though which was a bit of a disappointment. Despite that I still managed lots of good times but it all came to an end too quickly. Spent a few nights on the lash in Calgary and also in Edmonton on separate occasions. Love Canada me. Should have stayed there.
