To OP: I have learned through years of experience that the cost of quality is worth the cost. I have yeilded to the temptation of fast-and-cheap over the years, but I always ended up paying for the quality anyway.

Having said that, I admit that I have purchased cheap in the past in order to hurry things along, but I ALWAYS ended up paying more later when I found myself dissatisfied with the poor quality of the cheaper purchase.

My advise: buy quality up front.

Of course. Yogi Bear, that is. "Hey, Booboo want to find some pick-a-nick baskets?"

Ad then there is, "When a father gives to the son, both laugh. When the son gives to the father, both cry." I've heard it attributed to Shakespeare and to a Jjewish proverb, but no matter--it's true.

I am not ina postiion to own quality everything, but I have found it a worthy pursuit.

In the kitchen I own fabulous knives and skillets, but think of rubber spatulas and wooden spoons as disposables.

Likewise can not abide cheap shoes but will save a buck or two on pants and shirts if I need to to stay in top quality shoes. Well, not that custom made $2600 loafers are in my budget, but $150 workboots last way more than 3x as long as $50 work boots, and are more comfortable the whole time.
