Thanks Rocky, my Batleys Maple Leaf kilt

Thanks Rocky, the tartan is as beautiful as you posted in Remy's thread and the kilt fits perfectly. My wife took photos last Friday during my initial public wearing of my new 5-yard 16 oz Batleys Maple Leaf tartan kilt, as we visited Niagara Falls, Ontario. The Rainbow Bridge connecting the U.S. to Canada and the American Falls are in the background.

    The pleat shot...

    and the "Hamish Shot"...

We had gone to Niagara Falls the day before the start of the Niagara Celtic Festival where the Clan Claus Society gathered and had a Clan Tent. I felt it only appropriate for the first public wearing of my new Maple Leaf kilt and photos be taken in Canada.

My new Maple Leaf kilt from Rocky will be my favorite right beside my 4 yard 13 oz Clan Claus Society kilt. (Claus of the North Pole, Scottish Tartan Authority ITI # 7869).

Rocky you have no idea how many photos were taken and how many locations at the falls. Before Wally was happy with the photos.

No fair Kona, "what happens at the Falls, stays at the Falls". About your comment, Sandy (my wife) says, "how true, how true". She was the one taking the pictures.

But I did want the perfect photos to show off my new kilt, my 6th kilt after getting my first one in March of 2009. The day I got my first one at a Celtic Festival in Florida, my wife, Sandy said, "when are you ever going to wear that again?" I guess that question has been answered long ago. I drive our RV in one (of my three) USA Casual kilts, wear one when traveling in our car, when eating out and in Dollywood when not working there.

Kona was a witness to conversations and the photos taken of me in my new kilt by other visitors at the Floral Clock, where we had stopped, on our way to Niagara Falls. Ah, the power of a kilt.
