    Caught Jamming ...

Was caught jamming at an open mic session at one of our out o town haunts. Dont know if its the same in your part of the world, but open mic sessions around these parts are thriving everywhere.

    Re: Caught Jamming ...

 Derek... John Rickman here !!!
Saw that you said you're a Welsh Kilt Wearer. My Wife's Family is Welsh and I want to get her a sash in Welsh Tartan for our 34th Anniversary so she'll have something to honor her Family and to wear to The Great S.E.K.S Burns Supper on Jan. 28th. One Question... What is the Tartan that you are wearing, and is it a Welsh Family Tartan or a Welsh District / County Tartan ??? I'm not really sure what the Welsh Rules are about Tartan Patterns.

    Thanks for your Help...

    Re: Caught Jamming ...

Hi John ... I am indeed a Welsh Cilt Wearer. The tartan in the pic is not a welsh one. It is Mcleod of Harris Ancient Hunting ... although the lighting in the pic doesnt show it properly.
The two Welsh Cilts that I have are the National Tartan of Wales, St Davids Tartan

    And my family tartan Morgan

If you go here, I know you will be able to pick up sashes etc in lots of welsh family names.

Hope that is of some help.

Before I hurt my throat I went to open mics all the time. Say, what kind of guitar are you playing?

    Derek:
Thanks for the pictures, and while it a tangential issue the photo appears to include the neck of a Budweiser in the foreground. Good Grief! With good cask beer available that defies comprehension. I used to be stationed in a town with a Budweiser brewing facility that proudly had a sign that said we spill more in a year than others brew in a year.

Biblemonkey ... I'm afraid I have no idea what the make of guitar is. It wasnt mine. The wife and myself only called in at the pub for a bite to eat and a beer unknowing they had started an open mic session on that particular eve. I hadnt even had a chance to order a beer at the bar before the guitar was thrust into me arms and off we went. Having said that, the landlord and landlady did give us some beers on the house.
These are my babies ... A martin custom acoustic and riverhead 4 string headless bass.

And the same to you Jamie .. and yep ... theres nout like making a good bit of music to make you happy
