Well, I got the bug from you guys. I made my sporran. I had some nice dark brown leather laying around (nearly a whole side) and still had some antler bits. What I didn't have was a pattern, until I looked here on x marks and found this one. Being a bit of a history guy I loved the pattern. So, some cutting, no glueing, and a bunch of hand stitching gave me this. The only thing I had to buy was a tiny buckle for the strap.
Excellent job. Very nice work!
Looks great! I've seen that pattern before, and passed it over because I wasn't sure that I would like how the finished product would turn out. Now you've made me want to go and give it a try. Once again, looks great!
I too, have seen the pattern before, but never made up. Very nicely done indeed. Regards Chas
It looks both historical and handsome up against that tartan. The bone/antler pieces really set it off. Congratulations! Great job on a sporran, especially a first one. Thanks for posting.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
Its not our fault. Its the addiction! Very nice work. I like it. Craig
Nice work. Now that you have the bug, we should see lots of work from you.
I admire anyone who has the ability to make anything like that, well done.
