I don't have any real disagreeance with what you said Hamish. I guess it all comes down to our personal and the public perception of the word skirt. The debate will go on 'till the cows come home, at least we are in agreement and all what to promote the fact that we are wearing men only garments. That's all that matters.

On another point, I thought today of the future of kilts, I know Star Trek is only fantasy, but they have been accurate in some forcasts concerning technology.
I thought how the writers of that show never really figured MUGS into their "future".

So I wonder how clothing will change in decades to come! I hope that kilts will play a greater role.

    Graham,

I too often wonder what the future may hold with regards to what is worn. I look at what was worn in the past and am very grateful that I live now. I really do not know how they survived with all that confinement (at least in Western European culture)

I am just grateful to be kilted in the 21st Century. Let them say what they want, just don't take away my right to wear the kilt!

    Hamish -

Again is it truely heartwarming to see a positive article about kilts. It is fortunate that the paper was able to interview someone erudite such as yourself.
I noted with interest that Howie crdits you with inspiring him to wear a kilt more often. Keep up the good work.
