It certainly is a serious Kilt! As for how it feel to wear, great is an understatement, I would say wonderful and then some. Bear, sorry about your HD machine getting the work out that it did, but thanks again. You have made me a very happy giant!

Freelander, that sporran gets allot of attention being so furry and all. And yes it is bits and pieces of a cute little bunny rabbit, cheeper is better. I picked that sporran up when I was in Edinburgh last november from a gift shop. I think next time I am there I will look for a good quality sporran, until then this one will do just fine.

However, I cannot trace Fraser Accent tartan anywhere - at least not in any of the tartan finders and books I have. No disrespect, but did you mean to type Fraser Ancient?

Andrew meant ancient.
House of Tartan has it listed as #1659 Fraser Hunting Clan tartan. I also had to click Modern to find the right colours.

It's one of the most beautiful tartans and as I live 10 minutes' walk from the Fraser river, I can claim a feeble connection.
I don't know why different weavers call the same tartan different names or similar names. Who's to know which weaver is correct?

Hamish you got me in one of my poor spelling moments. That will sometimes happen with me because I tend to have some very bad spelling habbits as well as grammer. I am working on it and I have been getting better over the years. I blame my lack of attention in school for my struggle now. Oh well the more I read and write the better I will get. Cheers.

Andrew, please don't imagine that I was trying to show you up or otherwise draw attention to your spelling. 'twas not so. I seriously thought that "Fraser Accent" might be some modern variation of a Fraser tartan - stranger things have happened!

Having seen Andrew's new kilt in person, I can attest to it's beauty. A truely nice kilt indeed. Bravo Bear!

I have also added my own photo to my album from the same wedding. It was a wonderful affair, and both Andrew and I had some great comments about our kilts. Too bad we couldn't convince our buddy (the groom) to go kilted for his wedding.

The one I have on with my Prince Charlie is made of seal skin. We're not too fussy in Norway.Afterall we eat Whale here

PS. It tastes a lot better than the wartime stuff Hamish.My wifes mother tells me so.

It probably needs to, Freelander! My memories of whale meat are (fortunately) fading fast, but I recall it as being rather like a salty, fishy-smelling beef!! But, for a while, it was a case of eat that, or starve!

To quote that old wartime classic song by Vera Lynn (now Dame Vera Lynn):-
