anyone own a Stewart Hunting Weathered kilt? have pics? i'd greatly appreciate it if someone could post one...hard to tell from the small samples offered on websites.
A lot of times you can order a swatch dirt cheap to see the colors for yourself... images on the computer are never totally reliable in my experience. Welcome to the rabble!
Welcome aboard Memphis dev. I have not seen a Stewart Hunting Weathered but the Steward Old weathered is one awesome looking tartan. Barb T has some photos of one she did if you want to consider it. Best of luck!
Here's a nice photo of P/M Roger Huth:

Roger's bag cover even tones well with his attire. Here's another taken the same day with piping judge and professional piper, Willie McCallum: Cheers,

It's a lovely tartan and Roger's kit is fantastic. MOD cantle perhaps?

I have a question about Stewart tartans. Are they considered to be universal tartans? I seem to get he impression that they are.

Bren, Yes, unfortunately the Stewart tartans are considered universal. I say unfortunately because I am a member of that clan and would really like to have a tartan that is not a universal one.

Oic. Thanks, Sailortats. I can understand why that would be a bit disappointing. As a Shaw Clan member I can say that I would just be thrilled to see our tartan being worn...but the trade-off is that is is an expensive tartan. At least Stewart tartans are easily-obtainable.
