    Cameron of Erracht P/V?

I see that Marton Mills weaves Cameron of Erracht in P/V.

Rocky, just out of curiosity, can you get this one?

    Thank you.

Yes, and in fact, we did get a piece of it. The problem is that the sett size was so small (roughly 2.5") that it looked horrible. We won't make kilts in it.

Would it work for trews? I know you don't make them, but curious minds want to know.

Would it WORK? Yes, any tartan cloth will work. Would it look good? I wouldn't wear them.

Great distinction... that's one of the reasons that kept me from getting a couple of semi-trad or casuals... sett sizes for certain tartans in MM's PV are too small for my liking...

Some of them are smaller than others, but none of the ones we have on the site are what I would deem "too small" for a kilt. The sett sizes range from about 4.5" on the small side to roughly 7" on the larger side.

Rocky, is the sett size on my p/V casual Holyrood kilt from your shop the same size sett that is found in the wool version? I am very pleased with my kilt, just curious.

different mills weave the holyrood in different weights and in different sett sizes, so I'd need to know the mill and the weight to tell you. GENERALLY the wool cloth has a bigger sett size than PV cloth.
