    A bird in hand is.....priceless!

During our time in Scotland we decided to stop at a falconry center. We found one in Huntley so we did the trek from Laggan and boy was it worth the drive!

I had the opportunity to get acquainted with a burrowing owl, a great horned owl and an eagle a couple of years ago from the "Birds of Prey Rescue Centre in Southern Alberta. It was an awesome experience.

This guy flew into a window at our shop, dazed himself for five minutes or so before he flew off. We have two macaws at home, but looking into the eyes of a bird of prey is totally different.

Love that first pic of the eagle.

We have enjoyed several raptor displays and centers in the UK. Highly recommend the Screech Owl Sanctuary in Cornwall! Despite their name, they house a wide range of owls and other critters too.

My sister won't thank me for this snap, but here's the level of interaction possible with these fascinating and seldom-seen creatures.

Harris hawks, the wolf-packs of the air. Love 'em!!

Still wouldn't want one around my parrot, though. . .

That is very funny. You wouldn't want your parrot around my Biscuit either, Dale
