Thanks, Kyle. I believe that is Dunbar but could be mistaken. I'd overheard somebody mention that a chief was attending but didn't take the time to hunt him down for a photo. . . didn't even realize that I'd caught him in the parade until I started editing these photos. You've got a sharp eye!

That makes sense, Sydnie. I think I can just make out the surname of "Dunbar" on the clan's banner, and the crest and tartan (from what I can tell) look about right too. I saw the three feathers, which alerted me! Thanks again.

I was using a nikon d3100 and a 70-300mm lens. I never use the lens above 200 though because the images get really soft and out of focus. My daughter just got the 3200 and now I am really tempted. I shot for a few days in yellowstone with it and the extra pixel size does compensate for a weak telephoto at least in some ways.

Those are incredible pictures! I was there both days; watched the women throw on Saturday (my wife was one of them), and I threw on Sunday with the old guys. Did I mention that those are incredible pictures?!?!?!?!

The clans paraded in alphabetical order, and I don't see them in the shot that has Cameron at the fore and Donnachaidh just visible at the rear. Beyond that I couldn't say.

Incredible pictures, they're sharp as a tack. Very impressive. I must get a better camera.

if that was meant for me thanks. I really want to upgrade my camera but if I had the money I think my lens would be the next jump up. In lens the jump is from 3-5 hundred which I have to 10-12 thousand. I know photographers whose lens (as in one) is worth both my cars when they were new.
