    Yes, indeed. Black Stewart kilts both: mine is from http://www.skyehighlandoutfitters.co...dard_Kilt.html 8 yard, my brother Jim's is from http://store.stillwaterkilts.com/Woo...rtan_p_97.html. Both were purchased at lesser cost that what they currently go for.

    No, you are not breaking any rules. Your reasons for choosing the MacKenzie are as good as any. It's one of my favorite tartans, by the way, though I do not have a kilt in it.

    Clan MacKenzie is very storied. You might enjoy learning about its history. You then might enjoy wearing the kilt even more.

    Wish I could have made it to Portland. I was hoping to be there, but I found myself otherwise obligated on the day. Next year for sure!
