First Kiltstore purchase
My new kilt pin arrived today, a Claymore with a thistle design.
While I didn't get much in the way on email confirmation, yet the order was filled quickly and the pin arrived here in the usual 10-12 days.
The pin is of good quality, so I can now say that I am pleased with their service and the discounts given to us Xmarks fanatics!

Good to hear buddy. I know that I cound NOT be more pleased with the quality and speed of the Kilt Store. Hand-made, scottish traditional kilt in 8 weeks! That's incredible!
This would be a great place for guys to post their experiences with our sponsor too.

Congrats with the new pin Graham.
Not to pour cold water on things. I'm still waiting for a reply about postal charges.
The swatch I want to ordered is cheaper than the cheapest form of postage.(You only get three choices.) Which is signed for delivery. It's only a piece of cloth (Sorry Tartan). So I've asked for a price of the swatch with normal postage. THAT WAS TWO WEEKS AGO!!!! Still no answer. I don't know how they make money??.Sponser or not it's a poor show.
Yours totally cheesed off ...David

David I am not going to defend them b/c they advertise here, but I will b/c that is unusual behavior. I also sent an email a couple of days ago with no response and usually I get a response the same day. I am wondering if they are having computer issues.

A few weeks ago I inquired about a particular tartan [Irish Blood] and within hours received a response. A swatch was dispatched and received here one week later. A few hours ago I dashed off an email thanking our sponsors, also requesting one additional swatch [County Armagh] before I make my kilt decision. I figure that I should hear back from them tomorrow early but will let the gang know if otherwise.
David, two weeks *IS* a long time, and I would not be pleased to wait that long for a response to an email query. However, since KiltStore has thus far proven reliable to the group, so I would tend to give them the benefit of the doubt in this instance and hope that something had/has indeed gone awry with their email. Please keep us posted on this.

I'm sorry about going off like that. It's just this is the fourth something that I'm waiting for a reply or an aknowledgement or a package that hasn't come. Although not from the same company. (I do have one or two other interests)
I hope as you say it's just the computer

No apologies necessary. This thread is EXACTLY the right place for the thoughts that you expressed. AS for being patient, last week I was also doing that since I also had four things that were keeping me watching both my snail and email inboxes. Now I am down to one item.
Other interests... Thanks for reminding me because sometimes I forget that I have those as well! Actually, I need to get off this board and run some orders to the Post Office. The kids are also looking hungry.

David, it's tough sometimes, given our addiction, and living in a far-off country - having to wait for items we order.
It tests the patience a lot doesn't it!
The only solution is to place several orders at intervals, that way something is always turning up in the post!
I've just ordered a sporran from R Kilts, I also fancy one from Buzz Kidder, so I will stagger the orders.
I feel much better about buying stuff now that Blu worked out my total kilt related spending was only the price of a cup of tea each day
Trouble is, my wife said 'yeh but you still had your cup of tea as well!!"

I'll be right behind you on that one! Those babies look so good that I'm going to "pony-up".
I already have three sporrans and am dying for another. Guess I had better buy it fast before I get married.
