I haven't looked at Viz recently. I remember some really outlandish pieces of advice to readers, such as "Always buy onions instead of apples - you'll find them so much cheaper", and "Save money on expensive binoculars - simply stand closer to the object you wish to view."

The hints and tips column was always surreal. I must buy the Christmas edition.

I remember the dismay of a young man with strawberry blonde hair who had had a blonde beard as a teenager. He got involved in a bet with his relatives about growing a beard and 'tash. Being by then in his twenties he found that his face fur had turned ginger.

Twenty minutes after the expiration of the bet he was slightly richer and very clean shaven.

    Anne the Pleater :ootd:

Making fun of accordian-playing? You try playing the piano lying length-wise on the bench and see how easy it is!
