			Rob Roy revisited

I watched the DVD again last night, I guess for the third or fourth time.
I must confess the film reduced me to tears, the beauty of the scenery, the fine acting, especially Jessica Lange. An altogether fine movie, if you have not seen it yet - do see it!

Liam Neeson looked very fine in his kilt also.

			Rob Roy...

I prefer "Rob Roy" to "Braveheart" any day; it is much more historically authentic compared to the latter, and I think captures the time period quite well.
That being said, my ALL-TIME favourite kilted movie (and my all-time favourite movie in general!) is "Tunes of Glory" with Sir Alec Guiness and John Mills -- if you haven't seen it, beg, borrow or steal a copy (just not my copy!) -- it is out on DVD.

It is about a Scottish Regiment in the days after the Second World War, and it was filmed at Stirling Castle (it is speculated that it depicts to the Argylls, but they use another tartan, cap badge, etc.)

 Cheers,

 T.

I'm afraid you are wrong David, the film credits say it was filmed entirely on location in Scotland. I'm glad really, where else could you film it for authenticity?
