I have a 13oz kilt too, but I nearly always grab the 16oz because I prefer the heft and look. Can't go wrong with 16oz HOE.

All accessories aside, the centerpiece of Highland Dress is a top-quality kilt IMHO. You have a top-notch kilt to build your outfit around, and the rest can come with time. (Did I say outfit?? I mean outfits!)
