Somehow I'm sure Barb looks a lot better in that outfit. Am I wrong?

I happen to think Steve looked like a "lean mean fighting machine in tartan tights", but then I am probably biased.

I could post photos for comparison, but don't want to potentially damage more eyeballs (judging from some previous posts).

Well, I think there is a certain gender bias here. I think Barb is gorgeous. But then I like very intelligent, older women.

Clearly Barb doesn't look like a "lean mean fighting machine in tartan tights".

I think I can forgo the posts for comparison.

BBoy, Keep stitching! You can do it! And I definitely want to see photos. The tartan is great.

I did want to mention that we were joined at the Kilt Night and the Barbecue by a number of local Xmarkers and non-Xmarkers. I just was not good at getting photographs of everyone. Of the local Xmarkers, Big Mikey, Macman and CDNSushi were there, with spouses. We had a wonderful time with all.

The shop is now put back together, and we are geared up for regular work again, but will have fond memories of the event and all the great people we met.

Crossed back into the USA today. The guy at the check point asked my business in Canada, I told him, and he replied, "if you wear dainties under it, it's a skirt." He suggested I check out Utilikilt in Seattle. Said it was a good place. Small world, ain't it? Earlier in the day at Wreck Beach in Vancouver had a talk with a guy who ran me down to ask about my Mountain Hardware hiking kilt. Told him to checkout Freedom Kilts, and pointed toward Victoria.

Hope DixieCat is OK. Whizzed through Vancouver airport, kicked her out on the curb and took off. The last I saw of her she was woefully dragging her luggage into the terminal.

Took me 18 hours to get home. First flight out of Victoria was cancelled and all downhill from there. . . But home safe and Bob loves the almost-kilt! Now we have to get moved so I can take time to finish it. Hope to see it debut at the Ventura Games in early October.

Aargh! You could have almost driven to home in that length of time! Glad you finally made it.

Took me a while to get this off my iPad and posted but here we go. PlaidPreacher (aka Robert Adams, in his best High Church persona) reads from the Gospel According to Saint Barb. . . (that's BenningBoy/David in the background)
