...and here are a couple photos to prove it.
Nile posted here the other day about going to the Chesapeake Celtic Festival at Furnacetown, Snow Hill, Maryland. I responded there that I would likely be going. And I did - and I remembered the adage, "Pictures or it didn't happen."
Even thought the day dawned with rainy skies, the forecast "promised" sunshine by noon. I got there just after the Festival opened at 11:00 - to that last of the raindrops. It turned out to be a gorgeous day. Here are a couple shots from the activities.
The Ocean City Pipes & Drums does a "warm up" and effectively greeted the early arrivals.

Two of the pipers await a call to the stage...
NOTE the differences in their kilts.
---
While these are not kilts, there was plenty of "swish" from the lassies of the Footsteps Irish Dancers. They were incredibly talented and certainly easy on the eyes.

Someone took a cellphone shot of me and sent it to me in email. Fortunately she sent the smallest size possible.
That is one of Rocky's Casuals - in American Heritage. Interesting that someone came up and started a conversation because he was wearing the same style kilt in American Heritage. Turned out we had a lot in common and talked for about a half hour. He is an "Allen" of Clan Allen - as is my wife, on her maternal side (and whose sister has written three genealogy books about their family).
