New to the Forums and Back to the Kilts
Hello from (currently) sunny Michigan!
I am new to the forums, and have been gleaning lots of information from them.
A long time ago, when my older sister danced in Highland Games, I had a Robertson tartan kilt. Somewhere there is a picture of me with a white turtleneck sweater, red kilt, and candy apple in my hand. I was probably 4 or 5 at the time. My grandmother actually made my sister's and my kilts. My dad did all the math to calculate the size of pleats for her.
Well, fast forward to today and I just pulled the trigger on one of the former rental Celtic Nations kilts from USA Kilts. I had been debating Robertson (Clan), Clergy (UCC here in the States), or Firefighter/Firefighter Memorial (Chaplain with the local department), but went full on Scotsman and went for the serious discount instead.
Looking forward to the kilts and the forums.
