The Caledonian Society of Alabama is having our annual Burns Night Supper on Saturday January 24 at 6:00 P.M. at Wald Park Lodge, just off Highway 31 S in Vestavia Alabama. Our entertainment will be the Celtic band Hooley. Sadly the pipe band isn't coming so we will have one lone piper to pipe in our haggis. It will still be a great time, if anyone is in the area please stop by. Admission is $8 at the door, $5 for members, kids 12 and under are free. Highland wear is encouraged but not necessary, also this is not a formal event.
If my wife's niece wasn't flying in from New York this weekend, the three hour drive from Oxford, MS would have been an easy hop and a delightful diversion. I'll note my calendar for next year's event. Have a toast on our behave.
