New & getting started in Arkansas
Hello all, I'm Jimmy, and I've been lurking for the last couple weeks, but finally decided to join ya'll.
I've been interested in kilts and pipes since I was young, but it wasn't till my roommate suggested we go kilted for St. Paddy's this year that I seriously started looking....
Now, I have a cheapo solid green 5yd from Tartanista on the way (just to start, and for the occasion), and have been pouring over a plethora of possible tartans for my first nice kilt....
First thing I've got so far is a sporran..... Typical with my tastes, I wanted something so specific, I had to make it my self

As of now, it's a good looking wall hanger...

Welcome from the highlands of Central Massachusetts. That is a fine looking sporran! Good for you. Get you a heavy-weight tartan kilt and start playing pipes man. Go for it!

Thanks, all!
I've got a build thread in the "DIY showroom", but it's got to get approved by a mod first; As for the pipes, I got some and taught myself back in highschool, but I've never really learned officially. I learn songs that I like, but I've never gotten official with it. I've never paid attention to Taorluaths and such, but I can still impress the ladies
