Hi, Leslie, and welcome to X Marks from the bottom end of Africa.
In my country, Leslie is a man’s name, and a woman with that spelling would be looked on askance – but perhaps you have had that experience in Scotland, too. My neighbour’s wife is Lesley. But I have come across female Leslies from the US in the past, so I am not shocked.
