making a billie kilt for Pastor Gwen

Alan, thank you for starting this thread, it's a real cracker! If nothing else, it has cautioned me to stick exclusively to building men's kilts, and not to countenance anything else like billie kilts or ladies pleated skirts, at least until I have plenty of experience with making men's kilts.

I have saved this thread into my Subscriptions folder that I called Kiltmaking 'How-to's', because of its intrinsic interest (eg, who knows where Lady Grey's tip on backing bias-cut fabric with straight-cut will find a use), and because, well, one day, you never know, really, do you...

A quick picture of seam tape sewn into the top of the Yoke/Waist of a Billie Kilt to help stabilize the waist so it dosent pull and streatch.
..... don't ask about the fabric... sufice to say it's to go with a Roller Derby uniform!

I made Gregs kilt as well. It was some extra, rather light but nice quality Black Watch that I got for free. Greg is of Spanish descent, so a more universal tartan seemed appropriate. Gwens is Robertson.
