What was the name?

Hello!

It has been several years now since a thread about a romance between a Scotsman and a wealthy young headstrong lady who was determined to leave an island for the mainland in spite foul weather. I remember there was a whirlpool in it which they narrowly avoided whilst making the attempt to make the croosing. It also featured a castle ruin with a family curse and of course everyday wer of the kilt! there was a good many memorable moment too that made the movie worth the watch.
Now here's the rub I can't remember the name of the darn thing! I think it was something like "I Know My Way" or something like that. Since my search has failed to uncover it can someone help find thread that covers it and of course the real title?
I remember enough of it to be able to enjoy the listen. My thanks!

There was a song in the film
I know where I'm going
and I know who'll go with me

which my mother used to sing.

The title of the film is 'I know where I'm going' and the tale of the drowning of the two lovers still haunts me, but it was quite a good film.

Now I'm hooked. I can't remember seeing or hearing about this film but I will find it. A good romantic tragedy feels like Autumn.

I checked on Youtube - not there. Then I looked it up on Wikipedia. Hmm this seems familiar..
I have it on my Directv recorder from TCM. It was recorded 9/30. Did search for "other showings" and came up empty ( for the next two weeks ). I routinely look for old movies for the next few days on TCM and AMC and hit record for those that catch my interest. A big advantage of the Directv HD recorder is that the guide shows a lot more film info (cast and crew, reviews, etc) than the other satellite receivers I have toyed with that only show title, year and content ratings.
This romantic comedy film was made in 1945, stars Wendy Hiller and Roger Livesey, it is rated very high by all three reviewers that Directv uses and will be the next one I watch. Thanks!

Tidbit ( from Wikipedia): 12 year old "Petula Clark played Cheril, the precocious daughter of the Robinsons, in her fourth film appearance."

UPDATE: Just finished watching it - quite good love story - real places with the names changed - highland dress, customs and language seem accurate for the WW2 era.

I recommend the Criterion Collection version. There are special features that help you appreciate the movie all the more based on comments from Martin Scorcese, a great appreciater of films made by Powell and Pressburger.

Thanks everyone for your help in solving the mystery! "I Know Where I'm Going" is indeed the movie except I don't remember it being a tradgedy rather it ended with the young lady coming to our dashing Scot with piper following behind while he stood in the ruined castle.
YouTube has the theme song done by various artist including the version from the movie. A good tune which some did well and others not so well.
