Well Reaper, I'm colour deficient and I see wonderful things here. I'm glad you could see some of it.

You and I can only imagine what people like my son (with perfect colour vision and memory) see in them.

By the way, my dog is black!

Beautiful scenery, beautiful color, beautiful dog all on a beautiful day. I am so envious of you with the autumn colors. We see nothing like that here in San Francisco.
BTW, I got my kilt from John today. Mailed last Friday and received today.

Beautiful Fall colours Padre.... While never as spectacular as those in Eastern Canada, we had some great great foliage until a windstorm brought them down a week or so ago. The weather man is even suggesting the "s" word for this evening.
    Cheers...

Great pics, Father Bill! Many years ago, I spent a Marine Corps tour of duty in Ottawa (American Embassy) and well remember the glorious autumn foliage. It was not to be topped, especially the maples! Of course, I also remember the winter weather that followed, including ice skating on the Rideau Canal and much snow! In 1970-71, I remember that Ottawa got 196 inches of snow in total, and a few days when the actual temperature was -40 F. and wind-chill was down to -100 F. I learned what block-heaters were for! All part of the outdoor wonders in that city. I had a great time there!

I really miss the autumn colours here in Spain. We only have two seasons, its either Summer or Winter. Palm trees remain the same. There is no battle between the Oak and Holly Kings.

Canada is world famous for its autumn colours, Bill, and your pictures show us why.
Just to be cheeky, here are some autumn pictures from around Pitlochry which calls itself, with some justification, the "Centre of Scotland".

Faskally Forest was a training area for foresters and a considerable variety of tree species were planted there. In addition, the forest is lit up at night at this season of the year and attracts many visitors.

No cheek there at all! Beautiful pictures to rival anything we have. Thanks for the share!
