Colorado Tartan
http://www.colorado.gov/dpa/doit/arc...ry/symbemb.htm
Scroll half way down or so and there is a pic of it.

I thought this would be interesting as I have never seen the states tartan.

Humm good question.
I know of a rental place in Colorado i have tried them to see if they had used kilts for sale but never asked about the Colorado Tartan but they may have some Info
http://kiltrental.com/index.shtm
You can give them a try other then that it may come down to looking into one of the UK kilt makers that has access to hundred of tartans

Try the Thistle and Shamrock on East Bellview Ave. in the Denver Tech Center. A great source of all thing Celtic in the front range of Colorado, and Frank and Cheryl are some of the nicest people that you would want to meet.
Glad you posted Loren, still working on getting a kilt night going after the holidays!

GMan,
I've been to 'thistle and shamrock', nice place, but not since knowing of the CO tartan.
I'm game for a kilt night whenever. Maybe someplace celtic?

That is a good looking tartan. Think I qualify as a friend of Colorado since I lived in Ouray back in 1963 and wandered the bowels of the San Juans back when the old Idarado mine was open at Red Mountain pass.
Don't know that miners would ever wear a kilt to work...the airhoses kick up a lot of sand and gravel when the break loose...not something I'd want my jewels peppered with.
Would be nice to have a Colorado tartan kilt in honor of those times when I could be 2,000 feet underground and still 10,000 feet above sea level.

colorado tartan
Hi, a State tartan got me going and I discovered that my State, Washington also has a tartan. Perhaps most of the States have one. It's funny where tartans crop up. I recently discovered that the FBI has a tartan! I wonder if there is an FBI pipeband as well? - Longforgan
