The Sgain I showed above is called "The Officer" and made by Gaelic Themes.
Here is the description from their web site.

"Modern version of an Ancient design.
"The Officer" Sgian Dubh is crafted from brass, wood and stainless steel. It is an Sgian Dubh of exceptional quality.]
The first recorder use of this type of utlity knife was in the Crimean War, but because of the cost & complexity of manufacture, it was always considered a gentlemans accessory.
The original had an corkscrew and hoof pick, however for modern day use we have replaced the pick with screwdriver and bottle opener.
Available in a choice of over 250 Crests
Supplied with a high quality leather sheath"

While the steel in this blade is not the quality of say a "Buck" knife it is far better than the average stainless of most Sgain. I have sharpened and honed mine until it will shave.
Both the bottle opener/screwdriver and the corkscrew work well. Although I do suggest you use the sheath when opening a bottle of wine to protect from a cut from the knife blade.

I have shipped these, without any problem, all over the world. I have never had a problem with customs.

The crests I currently have in stock are-

    Rampant Lion
    Scottish Thistle

    X Marks
"Don't let the bastard grind you down"
    Masonic

    And
    Wallace
    MacDonald ClanRanald

This sgain is also available with a plain handle (No crest indentation) but it will be about 4 weeks to arrive.

$86.60cdn or approx. $55.93usd + shipping. I will need your mailing address to calculate the actual shipping cost.

If you wish, you can contact me via email - service@freedomkilts.com. Please include your mailing address and phone number and I will respond with a PayPal invoice.
