Hey Kiltbear,
Another thing that works good for me is to buy a disposable camera, and get it developed on a disc.
Easy to post pics from the disc.
I'm salivating...Robert says he's starting my saffron/buckskin leather kilt this weekend...be still my heart....

British Tan
Kiltbear wrote "A british tan - that would be milk bottle white then?"
Ya right,...the colour of those wonderful gambs of yours
I moved this over here as we were getting off topic on the other thread.
"British tan" Is actually a brown with aged patina that reminds one of a RCAF bomber jacket or my dad's long coat motorcycle jacket, however, it is soft to touch and very rich looking. Hope to have pics of that one end of next week. (Mine will be built first this time )

When I mailed out kiltbears kilt with sporran it weighed in at 3.46kg or 7.6lbs. could probably knock off a few ounces as this kilt is 27" long (Tall lad) The average leather kilt I make is around the 3kg (6.5lbs)mark 23"-25" long.
You hardly notice it when it's on as it just rests on your hips. When you take it off and hold it in your arms you can notice the weight.
A while back there was a thread on the UK Yahoo site where a guy = the cost of a leather jacket to a leather kilt. The jacket can be made with 1/2 a cow hide whereas my kilts take 1.5 cowhides. Also more work to make than a jacket. just a bit of info
Cheers
Robert

Is this a one-off run? or are you going to be carrying this leather more?
