Kilt hose for big guys
Ok so I was in Scotland last week. (I love saying it casual like that) and I bought some kilt hose, XL and I am a big guys. well they fit fine...until they get to my calves. now I don't think I have "fat legs" but I have power lifter legs, lots of muscle and bone in there...yeah some fat damnit but not much! anyone know of some good kilt hose that fit over legs built like sequoia trees?

I have a friend who has extremely large calves, and no matter what size hose I ordered for him, they were too tight in that area.
He wound up getting a pair custom made for him, and I am pretty sure (though not 100% certain) that he found them through Everything Scottish in Linville, NC. (He's also friends with Harvey Rich, who owns that shop).
Might be worth it to give Harvey a call and see what he can do.

kilt hose...
Another source for quality custom kilt hose is the Almost Unwearoutable Sock Company in Northumberland, England:

Yes, they are expensive hose, but worth every penny -- I own two pairs of hose from there, and they are some of the best (if not the best) kilt hose I have worn!

Todd
