Any Scots here?!?!?
Hello.
Am a newbie from Edin. Heard about this place from Niblox.
Have been a kilt wearer for about 15 years now. Used to have a "number 1" tartan for formal and a "number 2" for Rugby, American Football matches, etc...
Now up to 7:
2 Tartan
Casual black wool thing (very light weight)
Cammoflage
Imitation leather
B&W knitted silk
Black kilt suit.
Was at Buckingham Palace last year and wore 3 piece pinstrip kilt suit courtesy of Howie @ 21st Century Kilts.
Next up is an urban cammo (white/black/dark green) and the 3 piece suit to own.
I got the leather one for on stage with the band. Is kinda hot but kinda cool too!!
Not sure if you guys want pics or not.
Anyway, am glad I've found here and shall look further as and when I get time.
Take good care...

Welcome aboard.
Another version of your signature line would be:
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
the courage to change the things I can
and the wisdom to be able to hide the bodies
Of the people who bug the crap out of me!

Great to have more musicians on the site! There's nothing like the kilt under the lights.
Make sure to hit the "Music" section and look around. You'll want to hit the thread that I posted for Musicians. There's a movie link on a fake commercial that will crack you up!
Welcome!

Welcome
Welcome to our little place on the WWW. I just returned from Edinburgh last week. Saw lots and lots of people in kilts for the Scotland/Wales rugby game.

Hi KbD, and a huge welcome to you from West Sussex. I can tell you and I have 'things' in common - the main one being that we're fans/friends of Howie (and we are not the only ones who come here).
I've 17 kilts from TFCK/Geoffrey(Tailor), and 29 more from other kiltmakers both here and in the USA.
Didn't I see you at the grand opening of Howie's new showroom on 21st January, and weren't you wearing your B&W knitted silk kilt? I was there, in my TFCK plain blue kilt suit.
Take a look at my IMFF photo album (link below my signature), where you'll see all my "Howie kilts".
I get to Edinburgh maybe two or three times a year, so we must arrange to meet next time.
Enjoy this place. We're mostly oddballs and eccentrics (but loveable with it!).
