Thanks ...and the quote's more about attitude, not diet. ;) Through diet and exercise, I've lost 35 pounds and 3 inches off my waist since last June, not for health, but because I didn't want the weight to get in the way of enjoying life, and it was starting to. I "plateaued" a few months ago, when I started cheating, but I'm re-evaluating my current "Cheating mode" because I still want to drop (or "re-distribute" ) that last 15 pounds. If I do, My waist will definitely shrink, 'cause that's where most of it is left.
Congratulations on your great weight loss! Good going!

Thanks all.
To get things somewhat directed toward getting back-on-track...
I ordered a SWHW last week, and I just got notification that it's in the mail. Since this is the first traditional style I'll have tried on, what should I look for to be sure it's fitting right?

After you take the initial 1/2 hour to pull-out the stitching on the pleats, you "may" want to irong the front apron to the proper taper on the left side.
Plop that baby on, and pull the upper straps securely around your waist (about navel height). The lower buckle should ONLY be pulled enough so that apron lays flat. DO NOT pull it snug / tight / firmly. That will only pucker the apron tips.
Once on... enjoy! You'll LOVE the sway and swish. The material is heavier than many other kilt, so the pleats will uniformly move. For the money, you just can't beat it!

I might add that lolaus may want to wait to remove the pleat basting until sure that the waist fits.... its exchangable that way....

The SWK Heavy arrived .....
i'm at work, so this is a short one ....
i wore the SWK Standard into work today. The SWK Heavy was waiting for me! I swapped them out.
Jerry has done a great job. I'm seriously impressed. The weight, the apron, the pleats, the swing ..... If you've got a tank, then you have just got to get Jerry's HumV to go with it.
Outstanding!
Those of us that have ordered the SWK HumV and haven't received it yet, I think you'll be very pleased if not down right excited.
Jerry as soon as you start getting other tartans, you've got to let us know!

Ambrose, I'm jealous. The ONLY reason that I don't already have one or two is because I refuse to wear the BlackWatch tartan. That's a shame too since it's one gorgeous tartan!
I've received some wonderful feedback on the building of a black StillWater Kilt. An interesting thought to plop into Jerry's head!
Make sure (when you have time) to comment with the other guys that have received their kilts. It will be interesting to get a running feedback on the maintenance and performance.
