Wow...
Steve from Freedom Kilts came out to Philly to visit and deliver a kilt to me (tiger stripe camo). I must say that I am VERY impressed with his work. I had a chance to see his work before, but after being able to inspect it carefully and WEAR it myself, I am even more impressed. By FAR the best solid kilt at ANY price, but ESPECIALLY in the $250 range (I had lots of extra pockets and stuff).
This truly is a CUSTOM garment that has a VERY well thought out design. I've NEVER seen (including my Victory Kilt model) a solid kilt NOT puff out when you stand up (from seated position). I thought it was just a fact of life that you'd have to push your pleats down to get it to hang straight (This happened on Vkilts as well as LARGE "solid kilt company" kilts). Due to a little trick in tugging the material on each pleat as he sews it, the kilt hangs dead flat when you stand up! You can just TELL by the feel and look that this thing aint ever gonna break or fall apart.
Steve's kilts truly ARE "TANKS".

Well, now...this is a heck of a compliment. Good on ya for telling the world, Rocky.

I just love the support that the kiltmakers here all support each other it is indeed a sign of true gentleman (and ladies). Thanks for the review Rocky.

I heartily agree -- it's very refreshing to see the support for other kiltmakers. And thanks also for the review, Rocky.

You won't be disappointed.
To everyone else on this string... As I've said before... I give credit and praise where credit and praise are due. Steve has definitely earned it.

Someday...
I was there when rocky recieved his new freedom kilt and it looks awesome. Someday, I will have a freedom kilt of my own. They are constructed like you wouldn't imagine and they actually move like a real kilt! The pleats actually move and lay flat. One day, I will have one.

My FreedomKilt did arrive, when Steve said it would.
Definitely worth the wait. Fantastic.
I've just returned home from a 9 day vacation on Vancouver Island.
A whirlwind tour, but I did take the opportunity to take the kilt home for a brief visit - dropped in to visit Steve and company at work.
It took all my willpower to walk away without placing a second order.
I'm planning a return visit to Victoria in October, I hope.
Maybe I could rearrange the order board without anyone noticing, since I'm thinking of ordering another kilt before I head out again.

Lee,
And a thank you for stopping by. It was great to see you and put a face to the name.
I wish you would have had more time.
The only problem was we didn't get a photo of you and your kilt.
