I have a pair of black hose made by Locharron. They're identical to the cream and bottle green hose I have from them. This is a bad pic, but it shows the hose. I'll try to get some better pics over the holidays.
And yes, the jacket should have been unbuttoned.

I just bought two pair, one black and one grey, from Scotland Yard:

One item of note: The grey are a good match to Stillwater's Nightstalker tartan. I was having trouble finding "real" kilt hose in a shade of gray to match.

Someone asked for pics, so ...

Both the kilt and the hose came from USAKilts. I am happy with both (or all three, if you count the hose individually).

British shop hose is tempting Barb, but dang...what does "Large, Medium, Small" mean?? Can't find the size translation...a bit too casual about customer needs for me. Socks need to be sized by shoe size to have a clue.

Been buying the Lochcarron kilt hose through multiple vendors. Very careful about buying the correct size. Yet some of it is perfect, up over the knee, folds down well, other's in the same size I can barely persuade to get over my calf....save those for wearing pushed down with boots.

A bit of consistancy from the manufacturer would be nice. A vendor taking the time to relate kilt hose to shoe size would be nice.

    Wishful thinking.
