My wife was fairly neutral about my two tartan kilts (Black Watch and Cunningham) when I used to wear them for Scottish Country Dancing and bagpiping. So after I gave up these activities and stopped wearing kilts frequently I was surprised when she offered to buy me the black kilt and plain sporran for everyday wear. She says that I really look good in the heavyweight black kilt but that the Cunningham is too garish and the Black Watch is too old and short and shabby. She doesn't like that lightweight black Mercy kilt which I've recently bought and I haven't worn it outdoors yet. So approval rate is one out of four.
