Resizing a Kilt (moving straps)
My new kilt is a good 4 or 5 inches to big. Is it possible to resize it without too much grief? For some reason I have it in my head that more than about 2 inches isnt worth the effort.
(On a related note, if its not feasable to resize, its for sale.)

It's my understanding that the straps can be moved an inch or two. This came up a while back. If you contact the kiltmakers here they can help.

As in the link posted by Southern Breeze, moving buckles to take a kilt in 5" is fine. Moving the buckles to make it 5" bigger doesn't work.
let me know if you need more specific instructions.

Better to send it to Barb or Matt for repair than to sell such a nice kilt (it's in my size, I just can't afford it right now....). Maybe even contact Kiltstore and see about the resizing, as they were the vendor. If you like the kilt and the tartan, it's better to get it fixed than to just start over.
