BLAZN, the belt was acquired at Orchard Hardware Supply (all over California, at least) and is simply 2" cotton webbing and a 2" side snap buckle. The 1" side snap buckle on the hip was from a Joann's Fabrics store. Most of my casual kilts have an inch or two of velcro on the upper corners of the aprons to help the initial putting on, but the belt is what holds everything on.

As to the camo, I understand all this official military fabric is available by the yard through the PX or BX to military personnel. Being non-military, I happened on this piece through eBay.

Thanks... I know where to go when I get to Maine... JoAnn Fabrics. I also need to hop over to the Marine Corps base on the other side of the island to check out how to order the material.
