strapped for cash? check out these bad boys. I've got four. get a size or two larger ( apron a bit small ), Replace the straps and you are good to go for $50!
I know that I am blessed as I work out of my house and for myself. I can be a full time Kilt wearer while I am clothed. Sleeping, showering, etc. do present some problems with the Kilt.

Sleeping in a kilt isn't too bad. Showering, on the other hand, may get a wee bit o' soap and shampoo in the wool. While it it will get the dirt and grime out o' the kilt, it is prolly best done while you are not wearing it.
I wear mine mostly for formal occasions, but I do have a few casuals that I wear whenever the mood strikes me. I used to wear them more often, but just haven't thought about it lately. They are an option, based on heritage and are not a fashion cause or revolution for me.
