Darrell, congrats on a great article. I thought it was well presented and helped to highlight some of the functional aspects of the kilt that some people overlook, having never worn one themselves.

    Darrell:

The articles were very good and you strike a very debonair image in the photograph. My dear wife suffers from Fibromyalgia and I have watched her deal with the pain it causes courageously. She takes each day as it comes and deals with it even though she is exhausted and cannot get relief. You and others here who struggle day to day with debilitating illness have my utmost respect.

    My Best Wishes

May all your blessings be the ones you want and your friends many and true.

I was hoping that it would give an overall view of wearing the kilt, and I think it did so within the constraits of space available. I'm hoping that it provides some options for men who are disabled to improve the quality of their lives. At the same time, I did not want that to be the only focus. I had informed Mike Butler at Amerikilts of the pending article when I ordered my Khaki AK, and he offered to give his viewpoints. If it helps to increase public awareness, and causes other men, disabled or not, to consider a kilt as a viable alternative, then it will have served its purpose.

My thanks to Mike for his contribution.

Nice article and I thought it showed you in a good light. Although I'm overweight and have a few heart problems, I've never been diagnosed with diabetes. Between the heart medicines and the depression medicines I get to take 11 pills each day. I've found the kilts to be relaxing and generally well accepted. I hope the paper does send it to AP so that it may be published nationally.

KiltedKnightYou're not alone Darrel. I too have type ll mellitus and in between waking and sleeping I take 14 different pills and I'm no stranger to pain. Pain wakes me almost every night but I guess that's all a part of aging for some of us folks.
    You're not alone.........

    Thanks for posting the article
